On Tuesday, Newcastle radio station host Nick Gill revealed to his colleagues Jess Farchione and Simon Baggs, that he has a friend involved in the production.
While chatting to his co-hosts, Nick dished on what the upcoming series involves, confirming that the next season of MAFS will be, "heaps more off the rails", and will involve, "heaps more partner swapping".
Continuing to share with his colleagues the inside scoop from his MAFS source, Mr Gill went on to share how (and why) one woman has to check into rehab.
"They have had to check someone (a female contestant) in (rehab) because they have just gone so loose on the show, they (producers) were worried about their well-being," Nick begins.
Mr Gill continued: "It's a girl that is trying to consummate the relationship with her new husband - and he's not into it, on the first night he's just like 'oh we haven't been together for that long'.
"But she's pretty bloody keen - like yelling "f**k me, f**k me," over and over and over again.
"They have just started filming again after a two-week break because the producers were worried the show was going too far, we need to resettle ourselves, take a two-week filming break, and work out how we tackle the rest of the season."
While neither Channel Nine or Endemol Shine chose to directly address the rumour, a spokesperson for production company said: "As always with Married at First Sight, the rumour mill is in overdrive. All we can say is: tune in to Nine early next year."
