"There were times there when I did question [Jess's motives] because I remember telling Jess: 'maybe you tell Tamara one on one, say something to the girl!' But I think Jess was there to find love and she didn't have it with Mick so she was just trying to find a connection.
"I think it is obvious that her and Dan had more in common and the reason I was so supportive of her and Dan is because they both have these really strong family values,’ Martha goes on to explain. ‘Dan is obsessed with his son and Jess has massive family values and wants a family so badly. I felt they connect really well whereas Jess and Mick were really struggling to find common ground."
Martha also revealed that Cyrell’s outbursts weren’t as fierce as they came across on TV.
‘We're all used to seeing Cyrell get really angry really quickly but then she comes around in the end,’ Martha explains. ‘So we all know that it's going to get heated and then she's going cool down again and so I think everyone knows the drill now, we're used to it.’
Regardless of the dramas, Martha said everyone really looks forward to the dinner parties because it was one of the few chances all the couples got to catch up.
‘The dinner parties are exciting,’ she says. ‘People forget we don't see each other outside of the dinner parties so when we do it can get very heated very quickly because everyone has something to say, everyone wants to catch up. But in saying that they're also quite fun - it's not all just fighting and bickering.’
Despite this week’s bombshells, Martha believes that Jess is just doing her best.
"Jess did say to me that she wanted to end things with Mick on good terms because at the end of the day they did fight and argue but they did have an amazing banter and their foundation was based on a really good friendship and they had a really good laugh together at the beginning," she reveals.
"Jess said in all honesty ‘I don't what to have bad blood with Mick, I want to end as friends.' So I think if she could have done that, it would have been nice."
She does pity Mick and Tamara in the whole affair though. "Mick and Tamara are like road kill in the end aren't they. They're just collateral damage."
Ouch!
