The consultant was alarmed by the "suspicious" spot and took a biopsy which confirmed the presence of skin cancer.
Lauren, who was just 27-years-old at the time, admitted she couldn't believe the result.
Faced with surgery before the cancer became malignant, the reality star opted for MOHS, an advanced surgical technique where the doctor gradually removes tiny pieces of the growth.
After the operation, Lauren underwent flap repair to reconstruct her nose which was left with a gaping hole.
"I remember crying so much but then thinking far out I’m lucky I caught it when I did or I might not have a nose at all or even worse might not be here today to tell this story!
"I always try to look for the positives in every situation," she wrote in the caption.
The makeup artist finished by urging people of all ages to be vigilant with their skin.
