The reality TV star, who 'married' KC on the controversial MAFS experiment, opened up in his audition tapes, and said that splitting from his former fiancée, Sam, was the "worst thing he had ever been through".
"I was engaged to be married about five, six years ago now.
"It got about eight weeks out from the wedding, and my ex-fiancée decided to call the wedding off..." he said in the audition, as reported by 9Now on Thursday.
"Obviously I was pretty devastated, and it's probably one of the worst things I've ever been through in my life.
"Nothing bad happened, it wasn't like... We just had a little argument one night and the next day she woke up and said, 'Yeah, I don't want to do it anymore'."
"We're actually good friends again now. I was off relationships for quite a while after that last one, as you can imagine," he continued.
Although he was left devastated by his relationship ending, he said during his audition that he was ready to move on.
Drew and KC met on their MAFS wedding day.
The details come after KC and Drew called time on their relationship.
According to photos obtained by Daily Mail, the intruder couple are no longer together.
In the snaps, Sydneysider KC Osborne and Queenslander Drew Brauer were seen arriving separately for the cast reunion which was filmed in Lilyfield, Sydney, on January 15.
KC was pictured looking nervous and upset, suggesting it wasn't an easy split for the dancer.
At one stage, she buried her head in her hands in despair.
Drew, meanwhile, looked calm as he arrived for filming.
The co-stars all caught up for a final dinner party, which will air next week.
It turns out that the property the pair were filmed staying - and bickering - at was not actually KC's home, but a $300 per night Airbnb.
The three-bedroom house with a pool is advertised as 'Windsor House' on the popular website.
While photos on the Airbnb page perfectly match the shots of KC's home featured on Monday's episode of MAFS, the reality star was heard describing one of the bedrooms as "my room" in the episode.
This space had the same bed, pillows, painting, lamps, blanket and bedside plant as the rental.
KC called the bedroom "my bedroom" as she showed Drew round her "home".
Drew made himself comfy on the rental bed.
While it's not uncommon for rental properties to be used as locations on the show - as has been done with Connie and Jon this season - the problem is that producers had KC lie and say that the home was hers.
Just another MAFS fail to add to the growing list...
