The country held its collective breath while waiting to see just what would go down when these two complete strangers swapped vows and declared they would be together forever. And it was quite the moment.
It was perhaps the most genuinely sweet moment in the history of reality TV and we loved every second.
After all, there's nothing quite like watching a love story unfold in real time, but once the formalities were over we were 10 per cent focused on Jules' hair and beauty look, which was pure princess.
Jules hair was swept up in a traditional chignon, which flattered her fine bone structure and also her elegant swan-like neck.
It's an old-fashioned style that we'd love to see come back and hopefully it will thanks to Jules'.
The 36-year-old paired her classic, rolled bun with equally sophisticated makeup. Her incredible blue eyes were highlighted with a rich chocolate eye-shadow in a smoky style and she wore a nude lipstick that made her full mouth look even more lovely.
We admit recreating a classic chignon at home isn't easy and you may be better off with a stylist for this look. That said, if you want to give it a try, it can be done.
Firstly, use a styler to straighten hair. Flip head over and apply some volumising powder at the roots, specifically at the crown of your head.
Flip back. Section the front of your hair. Gather in an elastic. Push forward to create height and pin with several Bobbi pins.
Take the lower section of hair by the ends and roll, roll, roll. Pin at the top and bottom. Ensure the ends of the top section are hidden underneath.
It's not easier but with a little practice you will get there.
As for that beauty look well ... you can recreate this we promise.
Firstly, sweep a neutral shade of eyeshadow across the eyelid and up to the brow bone. A soft caramel is perfect.
Next, apply a slightly darker shade to the upper eyelid only.
Take it a shade darker again and this time, apply to the crease of the eyelid and also along the upper lash line. Blend.
You can stop here or if you like a more dramatic look apply a rich chocolate eyeliner or deeper shadow along the lashes top and bottom. Next, lashes, lashes, lashes.
Cheekbones shimmer with a soft, rosy pink blush and a touch of subtle highlighter at the very highest points.
Finally, that nude lip? Well, it's not truly nude but a lipstick the same colour as your natural lip shade. Right now we're all about the demi-matte - an almost matte with a hint of moisture. It's flattering, long-lasting and perfect for kissing!
Go ahead and try. And don't forget to enjoy every moment. Looks like Jules did!
