The 40-year-old defended his actions, claiming he 'warned' Tracey and Sean not to bring up the topic at the dinner party because he knew it would backfire for them.
'I said 'Guys, you're completely on the wrong track accusing me with this text message business,' he told The Fix.
'I really advise you to not bring that up anymore because it's going to come bite you in the a** because I've done nothing wrong, and if anything Tracey has been sending me very risqué messages and Sean, "trust me mate, you do not wanna go down that path. Let's not talk about it anymore."'
During the episode, Sean accused Dean of sending Tracey inappropriate messages.
Dean responded by saying Tracey encouraged the texts, and even claimed she sent photos of herself in her underwear to him.
He says: 'I had no choice but to tell my side of the story and stand up for myself. I never encouraged Tracey to send me those kind of messages. She was just sending them to me randomly and that's between me and Tracey.
'I don't even know what the extent [of the relationship] is between her and Sean. I don't really get it anyway, so it's not my fault she's sending me those kind of texts.'
Dean believes Sean went through Tracey's phone and read the text exchange, which caused him to react the way he did.
'Tracey and I have a pretty extreme relationship. We say some pretty hectic things to each other that not many other people would understand. I think he saw some of that and took it the wrong way and wanted to have a go at me over it,' he explained.
