Dan’s questions however compel her to put her heart on the line.
“How serious and genuine about me are ya?” he grunts.
“Oh no… umm. I’m definitely in love with you!” Jess squeals.
The experts are worried. “Oh, no, that’s fast Jess!” declares John. “He looks a bit startled,” he observes referring to Dan.
“You bring a lot to my life, yeah I am in love with you,” Jess reaffirms.
“That’s umm, nice.,” Dan mumbles unconvincingly.
“Do you love me?” Jess panicks.
Dan looks into the sky. “Umm… err. I think I do, yeah.”
“You think you do, or you know you do?” Jess presses.
Dan slurps his beer: “I know I do…”
The experts squirm in their chairs. “How awkward. That was really hard to watch,” Trish says.
But his love for Jess appears short lived. Later on, when Jess has a showdown with Mike and she calls him a sh** Dan gets angry and snaps.
“Nah, nah, nah. Just stop it I’m over it!" he grunts.
"Tonight, I got to see a side of Jess I’m not comfortable with. I don’t like that behaviour. I’ve got a few questions to ask myself now, just my feelings…and about Jess.”
They leave the dinner party separately. Will they last or will Dan finally see Jess for who she is?
