With endless partner swaps and dramatic showdowns, Married At First Sight has been one of the most talked about reality show of the year.
But despite massive ratings and being nominated for a prestigious Logie award, the show was snubbed for the 'Most Popular Reality Program' in favour of The Block at last night's ceremony.
Twitter erupted with anger after the Channel Nine reality renovation series took home the coveted prize.
Channel Nine had extraordinary success with Married At First Sight this year, with the finale drawing in a national audience of more than 2 million people, according to Media Week.
The controversial dating show was expected to take out the award, with a number of the show's stars in attendance at the awards ceremony.
