She’s only nine, but gorgeous Little Big Shots star Amelie already has the Olympic Games firmly in her sights.
And as the full-of-beans Melburnian has proven, the sky really is the limit!
Since Amelie first took up archery ‘to have a bit of fun’ at the age of seven, she’s been breaking one record after another in the sport. Little wonder that Amelie – who came first in the State Indoor Championships in her division – sees no reason why she can’t represent her nation at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
‘That’s my goal and I really hope to be there,’ she says. ‘I want to represent Australia and win gold.’
While a dedicated Amelie practises her archery skills for an hour-and-a- half, three times a week, the training never feels like a slog to the youngster.
‘I’d like to think that girls can do whatever boys can do,' she says.
‘We can definitely do anything.'
