From announcing her shock departure from the Today show to revealing her new hosting gig on The Project, Lisa Wilkinson has had a busy few months.
So, you’d be forgiven for thinking that she may have neglected her health and fitness regime... but you’d be wrong!
The 58-year-old TV star looked absolutely sensational as she enjoyed some much-deserved time off with her husband Peter FitzSimons, 56, and daughter Billi, 20, during a family vacay in Hawaii last month.
Lisa looked relaxed and happy as she snapped some pics with her daughter for the family album. Plus, the TV host and her hubby, who recently renewed their vows, looked more in love than ever as they were caught sharing a kiss.
But of course, all eyes were on Lisa’s amazing beach bod!
Emerging from the crystal clear Pacific Ocean, Lisa could easily have been mistaken for a Bond girl as she showed off her toned limbs and slim waist in a black, cleavage-bearing one-piece swimsuit.
Despite once admitting that she used food ‘as a crutch’ – and was 15kg heavier in her 20s and early 30s – Lisa’s balanced approach to her health means that these days, the mum-of-three is in her best shape yet.
The star admits that she was inspired by husband Pete’s recent weight loss.
‘About 18 months ago he started going to the gym a lot, and when I saw the difference in his levels of energy and vitality, and the way he was just attacking the day, I decided I’d like a little bit more of that,’ Lisa spilled to 9Coach, stating that she began to feel the benefits of doing regular exercise ‘almost immediately.’
The renowned television presenter also credits a Mediterranean diet, including lots of fresh vegetables and fish, for maintaining her incredible figure.
‘I eat fairly cleanly – I eat the rainbow every day,’ Lisa says. ‘I try not to have too much dairy, and I’m not a big red meat eater, so I eat quite a bit of fish.’
Lisa also swears by drinking a bottle of kombucha – a type of fermented tea – in order to maintain good gut health.
‘I have to say, it makes a huge difference,’ she reveals.
And, when it comes to exercise, the veteran journalist swears by gardening and regular sessions at the gym as ways to keep her in top shape.
But, if you thought Lisa’s lifestyle was a little too perfect, then you’ll be pleased to know she admits to one indulgence. ‘I still love my chocolate,’ she shares. A woman after our own hearts!
