Her lifelong dream was shattered when doctors bluntly told Tenealle Auvale on national TV that she was too fat to start a family.
With a combined weight of 349kg, Tenealle and her husband Johnee had spent more than $60,000 on seven failed rounds of IVF, praying for a miracle.
Experts said their morbid obesity made them ‘a walking contraceptive’ and ‘a ticking time bomb’.
But today after shedding a combined 130kg — more than a baby elephant — the stars of last year’s The Biggest Loser: Families, are finally expecting the child they have longed for.
‘We want to exactly like Commando Steve and pop out doing burpees,’ laughs Johnee, 39, now a shadow of his former 215kg at a much lighter 130kg.
