Russell Crowe stepped out last week at various Gladiator events, debuting a completely new look. The bushy bearded star was accompanied by Danish actress Connie Nielsen, who starred alongside him in Gladiator almost 20 years ago.
And now fans are wondering if there’s more to their relationship.
The 54-year-old recently held a divorce auction so he could finally move on with his life, and sources told New Idea that one of the reasons was a new woman.
‘There have been rumours swirling for a few months now that Russ has fallen for a new woman,’ says a source.
‘It’s one of the reasons he was keen to do his divorce auction, so he could move on in every way.’
Whether the stunning actress is the woman in question isn’t clear, but sources say Russ wanted to go public with her.
‘Only his closest friends have been introduced to the new mystery woman,’ says an insider.
And if looks are anything to go by, Russell seemed delighted beside his companion.
