Parents naming children after gun companies

Parents are no longer naming their children after fruit and flora. Instead, a shocking new trend is emerging.

According to Nameberry, parents are turning towards violent themes for baby name ideas, with Danger, Rogue, Trigger and Arson all appearing in the top 1000 names.

During 2014 and 2015, weapon-themed names such as Cannon or Bowman were also listed. 

Weapons weren’t the only violent source of inspiration, with US parents naming their children after gun companies, such as Barrett, Remington, Kimber, Ruger, Wesson and Browning.
