Ninety-year-old grandma Irene Kearney sent social media into a spin earlier this year when a photo of her wearing her first ever bikini went viral.
The holiday snap of the Ballina pensioner’s proud pose was seen by thousands and made headlines around the world.
‘I was elated when I found out,’ says Irene, who has a a total of 21 grandchildren. ‘I hope people are saying nice things!’
Irene wore the red and white Seafolly polk-dot two-piece on a cruise from Sydney to Tasmania with two of her 11 children, Helen and Bernadette.
