She was the original Married at First Sight villain who broke all the rules by hooking up with another man’s husband and Ines Basic hasn’t exactly won over the crowd since.
Now she’s being hounded online after her MAFS cast-mate (and fellow villain!) Jessika Power shared a shot in which Ines is barely recognisable.
The picture in question was posted on the Instagram account of Ines’ gal pal and fellow ‘cheater’ Jessika and it instantly blew up. Fans and haters alike were quick to question what Ines had done to her face.
Some even queried as to whether this was indeed Ines at all or had been tagged to her account by mistake.
One commenter described Ines as ‘looking like an old lady’.
The remark upset many, including Jessika who deleted it. When the woman asked why her comment had been deleted, a feisty Jessika did not hold back.
“I don’t appreciate people writing horrible comments on my Instagram about my girlfriends,” she wrote.
“Didn’t your mumma ever teach you if you’ve got nothing nice to say then say nothing at all. Learn from my mistakes on MAFS.”
Either Jessika has changed A LOT or, she genuinely regrets some of the things she did and said while appearing on the series. Either way, it was sweet to see her stick up for her mate Ines.
Others applauded Jessika for doing so. But, they also wondered why Ines looked so very different.
“I’m no troll,” posted one curious fan.
“But she looks so different. Is it her makeup?”
Others thought this could be true. But some put Ines altered appearance down to the fact she had recently had cosmetic work carried out on her teeth.
“Maybe it’s her veneers,” they wondered.
It’s true that veneers can cause your face to look more full from certain angles. But, if the veneers are done well, this will only make those who wear them look more beautiful – it won’t make them look like a different person altogether.
That takes more than just clever dental work.
Others insisted that while it was not a flattering picture – this was a realistic reflection of what Ines’ true appearance.
“She takes very well angled shots on instagram that look nothing like what she actually looks like in real life,” one commenter posted.
“This is what she actually looks like.”
It’s difficult to say really. Yes, Ines does look changed in the image. But then who doesn’t have the odd photograph in which they look like a totally different person? None of us I would suggest.
And the question here is what’s wrong with looking different anyway? And the answer of course is not one thing. How Ines looks is pretty much her business. And we’re going to go with Jessika here. If you don’t have anything nice to say then … it might be good to say nothing at all.
