These Pics Prove Kate Middleton Is The Queen Of Hair

See her prettiest ponytails, braids, buns and more.

The Duchess of Cambridge is a renowned beauty. She has an enviably slim figure and her features are delicate and elegant. Her eyes sparkle and her smile seems genuinely warm and inviting. But her most talked about feature is most definitely her ultra-shiny, super bouncy beauty queen locks.

For years she has worn that gorgeous healthy hair long and loose so it could be admired in all its glory, but lately she has been mixing it up with a variety of chic styles and looks. In fact, Kate has been downright daring with some of the elaborate numbers she has worn to various formal occasions of late.

Don’t get us wrong. We’re loving every single look. In fact, we’re doing our best to recreate the more simple ones ourselves. And why not? Several of Kate’s styles are perfect for every day occasions, even the office.

Scroll down to see our favourites and also, pick up a few tips and tricks along the way.

The Duchess loves a ponytail but she adds a little sophistication by wrapping the base with a section of hair. This is simple to do.Just section a small piece of your ponytail out from the rest of the hair, twirl, wrap around the elastic holding the pony and tuck the end with a Bobbi Pin.

We absolutely adore this look but it’s one for the more experienced hair girls only. If you want to give it a try, the simplest way is like this … take a section of hair at each side of the face. Separate it with clips.

Reach back and pull the rest of the hair into a low ponytail. Spread the pony out wide then roll the hair under. Pin here. Next, take the two sections at the front, pull them to the back and literally tie a knot. Pull tight and pin the ends.

Now this one is within reach of all of us. Simply pull your hair into a mid-height ponytail. Section into pieces and curl with a heated curling wand or styler.

Find a sweet ribbon that appeals to you (these can be purchased at material stores) and tie in a bow. Voila. You’re a princess. Or a duchess anyway.

High fives all round for this epic effort. We absolutely adore it. Truth is though, there’s no way we could recreate it ourselves. Our advice, take this lovely image to your favourite stylist or that one clever friend of yours who is just crazily talented with hair. And ask / pay them to make this dream a reality.

This elegant style is one the Duchess has favoured quite a lot of late and it’s easy to see why. The long, loose section gives it a fun, youthful feel while the pinned front section adds serious style. Plus, it’s practical in terms of ensuring hair behaves itself and doesn’t fall into eyes etc – important when you’re a royal.

Kate sometimes pins each section with a small butterfly clip, other times she knots the hair and keeps it in place with a Bobbi Pin or three. It’s up to you. One thing to remember, this look is most flattering when there’s some height at the crown. To get this either back comb a little (be gentle) or push hair forward and then pin.
