Henry is a father to three boys (aged 11, eight and 10 months) who unfortunately doesn't get to express his creative side at his job as a property valuer, so he blows off his creative steam at home building LEGO and playing guitar.
A dad also, Cade hobbies include playing DUPLO with his two-and-a-half year old son professing to have “mad skills” at building DUPLO cars and trucks. Unlike his LEGO partner, Cade is able to flex his creative muscles for a living as a video game designer in Brisbane.
Both contestants have collected a staggering number of LEGO pieces, with Henry owning around 200,000 bricks and Cade with 100,000 in his vicinity.
A respected builder within the LEGO community, Henry’s large Gundam and X-Men robot creations have been featured in various LEGO publications, and he has regularly exhibited at the Sydney Brick Show.
No stranger to large-scale builds either, Cade was part of a team who, with LEGO artist Ben “The Brick Builder” Craig, built a life-size LEGO caravan made of 288,630 bricks in 2018, earning a Guinness World Records berth for the largest LEGO caravan ever built.
Henry will have to watch his tendency to procrastinate and Cade his propensity for getting bogged down in the planning phase. The duo expect to have fun bouncing ideas off each other and uniting their skillsets for team success in LEGO MASTERS Australia 2019.
