"It was a sarcastic joke," she added.
"Guys are guys, they are not girls and they are not mums so they don't know some of the things we go through."
The drama all kicked off when the I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here contestant complained about a thoughtless comment the AFL player made towards her.
"As I left home today for my six-week check-up, Barry said to me, 'Enjoy the time to yourself', because now apparently, as a mum of two - ‘time to myself’ is a situation where I get to drive in the car with one child instead of two (yay for me)!" Lauren bitterly wrote in the caption on Instagram.
The mother-of-two continued to describe her unpleasant experience at her six-week check up:
"Have a little lie down.....so my birth wounds & lady parts can be poked and prodded (with a surprise Pap smear) Have a nice chat... about how to poo postpartum & massage infected ducts in my breast (but at least it was another grown-up human) And enjoy the quiet drive home in the rain... oh but with a quick emergency stop to feed a crying baby!
"Yes, I was very rejuvenated after my ‘time to myself’ - so much so that I managed to have full energy to look after my other sick child stress free, bath the kids, make dinner, clean the house & work through my list of chores that have been sitting on my table for eight weeks! I bloody wish!" she added sarcastically.
This isn't the first time Lauren has taken to Instagram to complain about her beau.
In May this year, she shared a photo with the Sydney Swans star and roasted him in the caption for not being romantic enough.
Barry's career was marred with controversy after he was fired from Triple M for making comments about the wife of St Kilda player, Leigh Montagna.
The couple also experienced financial hardship following the incident, something Barry opened up about during a chat with 60 Minutes.
"The thing is, as I’ve said, we’ve got no income now and there’s no real light at the end of the tunnel of when that will change or when that will be," the footy player confessed.
Lauren gave birth to her first-born Miller Hall, in 2017, followed by Houston in May this year.
