Talk surrounding the nature of Brad and Gaga’s relationship reached fever pitch following the duo's steamy performance of ‘Shallow’ at the Oscars in February– a performance Gaga insists was nothing more than good acting.
“[‘Shallow’] is a love song, A Star is Born is a love story,” she told Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel … I’m an artist and I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job …fooled ya!”
And with The Hangover star and his model fiancée parting ways just weeks after the show, it’s no surprise Irina’s fans are blaming Gaga for the split.
For their part, the former couple are keeping things civil for the sake of their 2-year-old daughter Lea. Irina and Brad have agreed to remain in New York so they can successfully co-parent. The model is said to be keeping herself busy with work.
And a source revealed to E! that she wasn’t ready to date again. “Irina isn’t dating anyone at the moment,” a source told the news site. “She’s focused on her daughter and spending time with her. She would like to meet someone in the future, but it’s not a priority at the moment.”
