“Two of the new contestants are a gay male couple and are part of the Kylie episode,” the insider adds.
“Kylie was happy to be part of the surprise appearance for two of her biggest fans.”
While the pop princess is most famous for her hit songs, Kylie does have experience of being on a TV show set.
She made her first television screen appearance, back in 1979, playing Carla in Australian drama series The Sullivans, before going on to land the role of much-loved mechanic Charlene on Neighbours.
It was during her time on the hit Aussie show that she started singing and decided to leave Ramsay Street to focus on her music career.
Last year, in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph, Kylie said: “I had no idea that music would become my life, I thought acting would be my path.”
While Kylie did go on to land a few roles on the silver screen – including her part as Kaye Hall in Swinging Safari, alongside Guy Pearce, and her cameo in Moulin Rouge! as the green fairy – the hit-maker is no stranger to the reality TV world, as she has previously sat in the coach’s seat on The Voice.
