Over the weekend Kylie Jenner's cosmetic brand Kylie Cosmetics announced it's newest product - a 16-piece makeup brush set. Quickly after sharing the news, fans of the cosmetic line shared to Twitter their disappointment with the new product.
The brush set, which features 16 sleek, silver brushes, is being offered for $360.
Fans slammed Jenner for the incredibly high price-tag.
Jenner responded to the overwhelming amount of hate by Tweeting, 'I have developed for you guys the most amazing luxury brushes ever. I am very excited! Real brushes don't compare to synthetic brushes. Different performance/quality/everything. I am 100% down to do an entire synthetic line in the future which will ultimately be cheaper.'
Fans were quick to tell Jenner that the hefty price-tag was still not justified.
Jenner then fought back to the people slamming her, 'I always fight for the lowest price on all my products. Here are some other real brush lines for reference.
'But I hear you guys, love you guys and truly just want the best.'
Again, the 20-year-old reality star's fans did not hold back. Social media users were quick to criticise her decision to compare her makeup products to that of high-quality, luxury brands.
One follower wrote, 'Okay, but you're makeup line does not hold rank like Kevyn auction or morphe...idk why you think you're up there...'
Another added, 'I get your point Kylie but all of these brands are extremely credibly in the makeup industry. You literally only came out with a little bit of brushes before and now you wanna drop this? It doesn't work that way.'
'All I’m saying is if you wanna charge luxury prices, provide luxury quality,' another stated.
