Veteran actor Michael Parks has died aged 77.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the star – best known for his roles in Kill Bill and Django Unchained – passed on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
No cause of death has been announced.
Parks began acting playing small television roles back in the 60’s and later went on to star on hit shows such as Twin Peaks and the Dynasty spinoff series.
Throughout his career he landed parts in many action films just as Ben Affleck’s Argo and the horror/crime flick From Dusk Till Dawn.
He also frequently collaborated with industry heavyweights such as Quentin Tarantino and Kevin Smith, with the latter taking Instagram to pay tribute to his “cinematic muse.”
“Michael was, and will likely forever remain, the best actor I’ve ever known,” he wrote.
“I loved his acting so much. He was, hands-down, the most incredible thespian I ever had the pleasure to watch perform.”
Parks is survived by his wife Oriana and their son James.
