Griffin explained she felt bad about the heated exchange, and texted the Ellen Degeneres Show host but 'never heard back.'
This is not the first time Griffin has spoken about bad blood between herself and Ellen.
In a book she released in 2016 called Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins: My A-Z Index, she wrote about 'a daytime talk show host' that has a 'mean streak that everyone knows about.'
Griffin has also previously revealed that Ellen got her 'removed' from backstage at the Emmy awards.
