Kate said she was enjoying the visit, according to one local who talked to the popular royal, even though it was far from the glamour and excitement of London, and their other home in Norfolk.
'She said that it was raining a lot and was a long way from their home in Norfolk, but they love it here,' one Keswick local told the press.
William and Kate also met two young sisters, who became momentarily shy when they encountered their idol.
‘It’s a princess. You love princesses!’ the girls’ father announced, as the two youngsters shook Kate’s hand.
With the girls tongue tied at meeting a real life member of the royal family, dad intervened, telling the royal, ‘She wanted to know if you’d be wearing your Princess Elsa dress,’ referring to the popular Frozen character.
‘I know. I’m sorry,’ Kate responded. ‘I came in my trousers and my coat because I’m going to see some sheep.’
The royal couple's visit is being called a success, amid continued scrutiny of their reportedly fraught relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, insiders say the couple were looking forward to being reunited with kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
