Kate Middleton may be royalty, but that doesn't mean she's immune to the occasional parenting mistake.
The Duchess of Cambridge took her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte shoe shopping a few weeks ago to buy some new school shoes, reported Hello!
However, the duchess made a rookie parenting error by allowing her children to wear sandals with no socks and had to borrow a pair of socks for each child in order to try on their new school shoes, reported The Sun.
Three-year-old Princess Charlotte is due to return to Willcocks Nursery School this week with five-year-old Prince George returned to Thomas's Battersea to begin Year One.
Despite the mini-drama, the children seem to be heading back with some brand new shoes.
Meanwhile, Kensington Palace revealed that no photos of Prince George will be released upon his return to the classroom. Hello! reported, "Prince George's time at school is private and although the Duke and Duchess shared an image from his first day at primary school last year, they won't do it every year."
Keeping George's school days separate from his public life is a conscious decision made by William and Kate inline with royal tradition.
