Holding her mother’s hand tightly with both hands, a usually cheeky Princess Charlotte was on her very best behaviour as she arrived for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea last week.
Dressed in her adorable navy uniform and with her hair pulled back, the 4-year-old was joined by her proud parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and big brother Prince George, 6, to mark this exciting milestone on September 5.
And it seems Kate has been busy preparing for her daughter’s big day with a mummy makeover, debuting her lighter looking hair and signature blowdry, and recycling the red-patterned dress which she first wore to Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding rehearsal.

Charlotte was greeted by head of the lower school, Helen Haslem, as she entered the gates with her parents, but it was protective big brother George who took Charlotte under his wing and showed her around.
“We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea,” Headmaster Simon O’Malley said in a statement released by the palace in May.
