While she is the future Queen of England, Kate Middleton isn't afraid to style herself with affordable items of clothing and jewellery, and her outfit choice at the Back to Nature garden launch on Tuesday was no different.
While the Duchess of Cambridge wore a $2,255 Emilia Wickstead floral dress to the RHS Wisley, she chose to accessorise with a pair of $6 gold earrings.
Keeping her looks low-key and affordable isn't uncommon for Kate (she famously did her own makeup for her wedding when she married Prince William).
Natasha Henson from British Style Society toldExpress:
"Kate’s style has changed dramatically over the years, however, it has become more refined with the type of duties she now has to perform as a royal.
"Kate appears to have understated confidence in her style choices and chooses pieces that represent her position as a positive role model.
"She also isn’t afraid to re-wear statement pieces with a recent Alexander McQueen favourite making another appearance at the recent opening of V&A Dundee."

The Duchess often selects famous labels such as L.K Bennett, but she also maintains a down to earth approach to dressing herself on royal outings - making it easy for royal fans to emulate her style.
"When sporting the latest collections, her public appearances have sparked buying frenzies with pieces selling out within hours.
"The best thing about Kate’s looks is that they are often accessible to all. Whether you shop designer or high street, the Duchess shows us how easy refined style can be achieved whatever your budget," said Henson.
While Kate Middleton, Duchess of Sussex wore a $2,255 Emilia Wickstead floral dress to the RHS Wisley, she chose to accessorise with a pair of $6 gold earrings from Accessorize.
"Kate often opts for comfortable yet stylish casual attire to fit her role as a young royal and a hands-on mother," Henson explained.
"These elements may indicate that although she is a prominent public figure.
"She still likes to feel relaxed yet fashionable whether she’s attending an event or enjoying a family day out."
Perhaps that's why Kate broke one of Queen Elizabeth's cardinal styling rules while attending the Wisley launch of her Back to Nature garden (which first debuted at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show earlier this year).

A royal insider toldThe Sun’s Fabulous Digital that the Queen detests ripped jeans and wedge sandals.
Commenting on Meghan Markle visiting Balmoral over the summer, the source revealed:
"The Queen is no favourite of jeans so the US boyfriend look and ripped jeans will be left in Frogmore Cottage along with any wedges which her Majesty hates with a passion."
