Kate Middleton devastated: her distant relationship with the Queen explained
They've known each other for 20 years, but the Queen and Kate are not close.
Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth have known each other for 20 years, however, a new report claims that Her Majesty does not have a good relationship with the future Queen of England: and the reason is heartbreaking.
Kate Middleton met Prince William in 2002 when they attend St Andrew's University together. The couple had an on-again-off-again relationship which continuously troubled members of the Royal Family, until the Duke of Cambridge finally decided to settle down, popping the question on the 20th October 2010.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were then married at London’s Westminster Abbey in 2011.

According to editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward, the monarch doesn't share a close bond with the Duchess despite knowing her for years, due to the fact 'they have nothing' in common.
Ms Seward told Fabulous Digital: “The Queen admires Kate tremendously but does not have an intimate relationship with her as they don’t have much in common."

Ms Seward continued: "I think the Queen and Kate have a more serious relationship as obviously Kate holds all the Queen’s hope for the future and she would not want to do anything to upset that."
As to why the Queen and Kate's relationship is merely cordial, Ms Seward says Kate views Elizabeth as 'the Queen', and not Prince William's grandmother.
However, they do share one common bond, William and Kate's three children, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4 and Prince Louis, 1.
Ms Seward ended: “The common bond with Kate would be her children and I can’t imagine the Queen spending too much time talking about them; she is a very shy woman.”
