The royals might be known for having a stuff upper lip, but Prince William and Kate Middleton definitely aren’t afraid to have a laugh every now and again – even if it’s at their own expense.
Overnight, the duo attended a TV airing of the Royal Variety Performance in London, where William engaged in some banter with host Miranda Hart - who then asked the Prince to gallop like a horse.
Good sport that he is, William complied – and promptly had the audience, as well as Kate Middleton, in hysterics:
“I did apologise to him at the end and he said he'd practise his galloping,” Hart said after the show.
“I thought he was wonderful in joining in.”
She wasn’t the only one – Prince William quickly became a hot topic on Twitter, with fans praising his good humour:
