Karl's move to radio comes after he came under fire earlier this month following the airing of his segment on Meghan Markle for 60 Minutes.
Viewers took to Twitter to slam the former Today host, calling him a "hypocrite" after he appeared to criticise the Meghan and Prince Harry for wanting their privacy - when he has been vocal in the past about the media invading his own.
"The couple appear to want a little privacy. Too much to ask? You bet. The public feel cheated, the tabloids have turned and the blame game – much of it directed at Meghan – is fierce," Karl said in the opening segment of the report.
Viewers were unhappy and took to social media to respond, with one person tweeting: "Watching the hypocricy of Karl Stefanovic scrutinising a public person after pleading for his own privacy for two years - I mean, what is this?"
Another viewer wrote: "@karlstefanovic and @60mins trying to vilify Meghan as the press did to Diana. Using scum like #KatieHopkins to do their dirty work."
