Sylvia, laughing awkwardly, said: 'That's me! I like to stay where I'm comfortable, yep.'
Karl, with a childish giggle, looked over at a disapproving Georgie.
Georgie added, 'It's complicated'.
'Come on over and sit on the fence with me, Georgie. You'll be fine,' said Sylvia.
At the time of the scandal, New Idea exclusively revealed exactly what was said in the cab ride that shocked Australia.
Speaking to New Idea in his only interview, the driver who overheard the fiery 45-minute conversation between Karl Stefanovic and his brother Peter shared his story – exposing what Karl really thinks of his co-host Georgie Gardner.
Despit widespread reports claiming the driver recorded the brothers' bombshell conversation, he vehemently denied this, saying: 'I don't have a dash cam...I don't even know how to record something on my phone.'
In the shocking call, Karl slammed his colleagues, other network shows and even his bosses. As well as claiming that Georgie needs to ‘step up’, an ‘angry’ Karl also accused Dickie of keeping him from big entertainment stories and slammed Nine bosses for being ‘out of touch’.
The 43-year-old television personality also opened up for the first time about the now infamous Ubergate scandal earlier this month, in a very candid interview with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.
The incident, which saw Karl and his younger brother Pete Stefanovic overheard ctiticising Today co-hosts Georgie Gardner and Richard Wilkins, as well as network bosses, caused friction at Channel Nine.
Stefanovic told the Kyle and Jackie O Show, 'Channel Nine weren't happy, and upstairs weren't happy, and that's fair enough.'
'Whatever comes out of my mouth, I'm responsible for, and if that brings the company into disrepute or whatever, that's on me. I accept full responsibility,' he added.
