She famously revealed in parliament that her son was addicted to ice.
Now, Tasmanian senator, Jackie Lambie, has shared some positive news with her Facebook fans: Her son, Dylan, is now clean.
Posting a video of her son on Facebook, titled Dylan’s Testimony, the 22-year-old, admitted he had been addicted to ‘ice and other drugs’ since he was a teenager, but says he is no longer taking the substances.
Lambie captioned the video, saying, ‘So proud of my boy!’
Dylan added that he owes his sobriety to the Teen Challenge program, a Christian rehab group.
'I got to a turning point where I was sleeping on a concrete floor at the back of an abandoned house and I thought, "I'm sick of doing this", and then I sort of went, "Oh I might give Teen Challenge a go".'
Dylan now works in an ice-cream factory and volunteers at the rehab group.
