Speaking with 7News.com.au, Instagram Australia’s Director of Policy Mia Garlick, revealed that the road test is to encourage users to focus on the quality of their content, and not obsess over likes.
“The idea is to just really let you focus on the content and the experience of engaging without being worried or feeling pressured over how many likes a post has received”, Ms Garlick told 7News.
The good news is that you will still be able to see who has liked your post, just no one else will be able to.
Video views will also be made private.
