According to New magazine, the royal duo have spent more than $270,000 to create the ultimate space at Frogmore Cottage, where the couple will live when the baby arrives.
A close friend of the former Suits star told the publication: “Everything is all set at their dream home and in the past two weeks Meghan has completed work on a stunning nursery which she insisted on paying for out of her own money.”
The gender-neutral nursery is said to not only feature eco-friendly vegan paint infused with rosemary oils and eucalyptus, but childproof windows and a full wall-length mood screen that electronically projects soothing images.
The jaw-dropping figure has been released just months after Meghan and her friends splashed out on an elaborate baby shower in New York where they celebrated inside The Mark Hotel’s incredible Grand Penthouse Suit, which costs a whopping $75,000 a night.
Meanwhile, Meghan's friend continues: “She’s determined not to do things the conventional way. Meghan’s already told Palace chides that she and Harry want to be hands-on parents. She doesn’t want a team of nannies, which is unheard of for a new mum in the royal household.
“Meghan feels she wants to show other women out there that she’s independent and strong and can relate to new mum's who don’t have the luxury of having a lot of extra help.”
