In a world full of tragedy, this really seems to have all the hallmarks of a miracle.
A small infant who was thrown an estimated 25-35ft from a horror car crash was missing for 15 minutes, before her frantic mum found her safe and well in a road grate – after she was ejected from the smashed vehicle.
‘There had to be some kind of divine intervention for her to end up being okay,’ says rescue worker Josh Moore of the child’s astounding survival.
‘The 8-month-old was actually sitting down in the grate, sitting up and looking up at us waiting for us to pull her out. She wasn't screaming, she wasn't crying, was just sitting there waiting for us.’
It is believed that hay may have helped cushion her fall.
‘We reached down there and she more or less had her hands up for somebody to pick her up. It took 3 of us to work her around the grate and get her back up through,’ he told local station KSLA the miracle, that happened in Texarkana, US.
