Winnie Harlow
Love the look of liquid silver?
Winnie Harlow – the Canadian fashion model who has the skin condition vitiligo - certainly stole the show in her futuristic custom-made gown.
Her dress, by Lebanese designer Jean Louis Sabaji, was the talk of the red carpet at the premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story on May 15.
Featuring cut-out sections – the gown also had an epic train giving it a real sense of majesty.
Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid also opted for sleek silver as she attended the screening of BlacKkKlansman on May 14.
The stunning sparkly, backless dress by designer Elie Saab was paired with a box purse and statement earrings.
Nicole Scherzinger
The former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger meanwhile opted for a structured princess gown as she walked the red carpet for the same film screening.
While some reports likened her to a ‘doily’ in her dress – others described the look as bringing some ‘bridal glamour’ to proceedings.
The strapless lace and ball gown was by Ashi Studio Couture.
Sara Sampaio
Also showcasing feathers on the red carpet – at the screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story - was Portuguese model and Victoria's Secret Angel Sara Sampaio.
Sara wore a very feathery white creation from the designers who have been hotly tipped to design Meghan Markle’s wedding dress – Ralph & Russo.
Unfortunately for Sara, her stunning gown got caught on her heel later during the proceedings – forcing her to free it.
Alessandra Ambrosio
Brazilian Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio meanwhile attended the screening of BlacKkKlansman in black lace with a plunging back.
The dress from Zuhair Murad's Spring '18 Couture collection features long sleeves and full skirt.
The model completed her look with some jewels by Film Festival favourite de GRISOGONO.
Naomi Campbell
British model Naomi Campbell also opted for black for the occasion.
The 47-year-old turned heads in a very revealing one-shouldered creation from the Poiret fall 2018 collection.
The dress – which featured a swathe of opulent silk draped across her body as well as a web of lace – was finished off with some yellow and black mules.
Cate Blanchett
On a quirkier footing, actress Cate Blanchett opted for multi-colour elements as she attended the BlacKkKlansman screening.
Her Givenchy Haute Couture outfit designed by Clare Waight Keller was lauded as one of the most eye-catching seen on the red carpet yet this year.
Kristen Stewart
Finally, no list would be complete without mention of US actress Kristen Steward who removed her shoes as she walked the red carpet at Cannes on May 14.
The strict dress code at the Festival states that there should be 'no flats' so Kristen opted for a pair of sky high Christian Louboutin heels for the screening.
The 28-year-old wowed in a metallic dress from the French fashion house Chanel and black stilettos pumps before ditching her designer heels to climb the steep stairs at the end of the carpet.
‘There's definitely a distinct dress code, right,’ she told The Hollywood Reporter. ‘People get very upset if you don't wear heels, but I feel that you can't ask people that any more. It's just a given. If you're not asking guys to wear heels and a dress, you can't ask me either.’
