- Good oral hygiene: Brush AND floss TWICE a day.

- Dentists can identify other conditions such as salivary gland problems, tonsillitis or sinus problems that are contributing too.
- Avoid dehydration: drink 8 glasses of water a day and have an extra glass for every coffee you drink.

- A healthy, balanced diet will avoid bad breath caused by ketoacidosis that can cause bad breath during fasting diets such as 5/2 or intermittent fasting type diets. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and lean protein sources as well as complex carbohydrates.
