Mariah Carey, 47, has reportedly undergone a complex weight-loss surgery.
RadarOnline reports the singer began feeling extremely insecure about her curves after online body shamers bashed her for her fuller figure.
According to Page Six, Carey underwent gastric sleeve surgery just last month in Beverly Hills. The procedure consists of removing part of the patient's stomach so that they feel satisfied more quickly.
Scarring and recovery time are reportedly minimal, so Carey will regain her strength and sexy figure in no time.
A source told the publication, 'Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer...she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers.'
Since her surgery, the star has already been feeling 'a lot better,' the source claims, and has even been spotted out with new boyfriend, backup dancer Bryan Tanaka.
