Camilla Parker Bowles famously has a less than happy friendship with Princess Anne - the tough little sister of Prince Charles - but it turns out the pair have a surprising connection, which isn't the Prince of Wales.
The Duchess of Cornwall's relationship with Charles has many bumps in the road, with the pair falling in love back in 1971, but was viewed as an unsuitable bride for the future King if England, which led to the ill-fated marriage of Charles and Diana.
Camilla would go on to marry Andrew Parker Bowles, before divorcing him in 1994 to pursue Prince Charles, who would later divorce Princess Diana in 1996.
This messy part of history is well-documented, however, what people aren't aware of is that before Camilla married Andrew, Andrew wanted to be with Princess Anne.

According to ‘The Real Princess Anne’, the Princess Royal dated Andrew Parker Bowles in the '70s.
At the time, it was reported that Andrew was Princess Anne's top pick for a future husband.
The documentary explained: "Most of the press pack were far more fascinated with the company she kept and whether they could marry her off.
"Would it be the Olympic gold medalist Richard Meade, who shared her passion for riding, or more intriguingly, the 26-year-old Andrew Parker-Bowles, not yet married to Camilla?"

However, Andrew Parker Bowles' faith meant marriage was out of the question: "He and Anne were often seen together, but he was a Roman Catholic, and for a royal that effectively put marriage out of the question."
What eventuated was Princess Anne marrying Mark Phillips and Camilla Spade marrying Andrew Parker Bowles.
In his bookRebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, Tom Bower wrote that the Queen even didn't want to meet or speak with the Duchess of Cornwall.
The unauthorised biographer of the Prince of Wales wrote that the future king had approached his mother one night with a request to end her fury with Camilla.
However, her Majesty was several martinis down at the time and made several biting comments about her son's lover - who was previously married to Andrew Parker Bowles.
According to Bower, the Queen called Camilla a "wicked woman" and said she wanted "nothing to do with her."

Royal expert Penny Junor wrote in the Daily Mail in 2017: "The Queen had wanted her gone before Diana’s death and felt no different after it."
