Single mums Fiona and Nicole have warned their opposing teams, vowing that ‘revenge is best served cold’.
This week on the Channel Seven renovation show, the Victorian duo drive the wedge between them and their competing teams even further as the biggest contestant war in House Rules history rages on.
‘The cool group always band together against us,’ Fiona says on the show.
‘We’re not here to be a part of the cool group. We were never a part of the cool group at school and we’re not going to start now that we’re in our 40s. It’s team Vic versus the world.’
From secret strategies and hiding materials to accusations of sabotage, the gloves are well and truly off.
‘We’ve been set up to fail and we’re going to prove them wrong,’ Fiona asserts.
‘What Fiona and Nicole want, Fiona and Nicole get.’
First in their firing line are young South Australian couple Kate and Harry.
‘I think Nicole and Fiona feel like they’re being isolated but I think they’re doing it to themselves,’ Kate says.
In zone wars round two, Fiona and Nicole, both 44, go head-to-head with the Adelaide parents. The conflict ends with an upset Fiona storming off in tears.
‘I’m not a frigging idiot and I won’t be treated like one,’ she rages. She then asks Nicole: ‘How do we plan on getting revenge?’
And then clashes with Sean and Ella and Aaron and Daniella leave a distraught Fiona believing the young couple teams have created ‘an alliance’.
‘The cool kids will try and steal anything of ours,’ she says, as she ropes off a separate area for their building supplies.
Speaking to New Idea, Nicole claims the alliance were keen to push them out of the competition as soon as possible.
‘They already hated us from the start,’ she explains. ‘They’d pick stuff up for each other and they’d keep us out of the loop.
‘They’d help each other out wherever they could and keep us out of everything wherever they could.’
House Rules airs Monday to Wednesday, 7.30pm, and Sunday, 7pm, Channel Seven.
