"It's all relevant," Pledger told hosts Kylie and Larry, "It's mostly for the people that are sitting at home - just like me when I was 15 years old - looking at Home and Away talking about school relationships and things like that.
"It covers each topic and things that we go through day to day."
Pledger continued: "There's so much research that goes into it, so something as controversial as medicinal marijuana, we don't do it with our eyes closed.
"We put as much work into it as we can so people get a real up to date perception of it."
Morning Show host Kylie Gillies then probed the buff Pledger about how Mason might be feeling when it comes to putting his medical career on the line.
"It's all in the name of love," explains Orpheus, "It's for his younger sister, Raffy.
"She's suffering from epilepsy so he's decided to take things into his own hands and do whatever it takes to help his sister."
Orpheus Pledger will mark three years on Home and Away come June 7.
