From 2003 to 2006, he played one of Summer Bay’s most memorable residents – loveable larrikin Robbie Hunter.
Now, Jason Smith is coming back to Home and Away.
“They always say you never quite leave Summer Bay and I couldn’t agree more!” Jason tells New Idea. This time, Jason has a new role – hosting the hit show’s much-anticipated podcast.

For the 35-year-old, who once shared scenes with actors and now global stars Chris Hemsworth and Isabel Lucas, the new gig is very much a case of returning to, well, his home away from home. “It’s been over 10 years since I was on the show, but it actually feels like yesterday,” Jason says.
“At the time, Issy, Chris and I were the three musketeers – we basically did all of our stories together and grew up together on the show.”
He says he’s still in touch with them. “Chris is very much the legend he was then,” he says.
“And he always had the star quality.”
