Guy Sebastian knows he’s got the best job in the world. Sitting on the panel of hit singing show The X Factor, he makes dreams come true every day.
‘I love doing this show. It’s so rewarding,’ the 34-year-old tells New Idea.
But he has a big secret. He almost didn't sign up this year, before being convinced by some very exciting news.
'To be honest, I wasn't going to do the show,' he tells us. ''I sat down with my manager over Christmas and we were working out what I was going to do this year. We decided that I wasn't going to do The X-Factor, just because of the time it takes.'
Fortunately for fans, when producers told Guy the much-loved series would be getting a shake up this year, he just couldn't say no.
'I think it would be really boring if it remained the same,' he explains.
After finding fame as the first winner of Australian Idol in 2003, Guy reveals he has made some lifelong friends over the four seasons he’s been on The X Factor judging panel.
