Gossip Girl premiered over a decade ago, and no, we're still not over it. Six seasons of scandals, love triangles, intrigue and other totally dramatic events mean that the series will forever have a special place in our hearts. But it wasn't just the plot that has caused Gossip Girl to become such an iconic piece of late 2000s television, oh no. It's the fashion. It's the hundreds of outfits and handbags and shoes and accessories that we lusted after as each episode rolled by.
Narrated by the anonymous blogger "Gossip Girl" Gossip Girl follows the lives of the wealthy upper-class teenagers who prowl Manhattan's Upper East Side. Funnily enough, it turns out that when you produce a series about affluent adolescents, you've got to have the costume department to back it up. Such a wide variety of designers contributed wardrobe choices to the show, that former Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman told Fashionista "Blair never repeated a headband in six seasons, and Serena never wore the same pair of shoes or carried the same bag." If you didn't already believe us when we said hundreds of outfits, you do now!
To relive our love for the television series, we've gathered 7 of the best Gossip Girl outfits in existence so that you can shop the look, and we can reminisce. Which one is our favourite? We'll never tell.

Gossip Girl Main Characters
If you're a diehard fan of the series, the chances are you'll scroll right on past this bit. You'll already know whether you're a 'Blair' or a 'Serena', whether you're anti-Dan or Chuck Bass all the way. For the completely uninitiated however, here's a brief rundown of who played who.
1. Serena van de Woodsen
Played by the irresistible Blake Lively, Serena Celia Humphrey (née van der Woodsen) is a main character of the Gossip Girl universe and appears in every episode of the show alongside her best friend Blair Waldorf. Throughout the series, Serena has an on-again, off-again relationship with Dan Humphrey and the two finally get married during the series finale. The character is very much an 'It Girl' of the Upper East Side, so Serena's Gossip Girl outfits were naturally on point.
2. Blair Waldorf
There are so many memorable Blair Waldorf Fashion Moments throughout Gossip Girl's six seasons. We could have featured all her outfits by episode, but we managed to restrain ourselves! Like best friend Serena and Dan Humphrey, Blair appears in every episode of the show. She has an ongoing relationship with the charismatic Chuck Bass and is regarded as the Queen Bee of the Upper East Side. Actress Leighton Meester played the part of Blair for the entire run of the show.
3. Jenny Humphrey
Jennifer "Jenny" Tallulah Humphrey was initially a main character on Gossip Girl from series 1-3, before being downgraded to a recurring character in series 4. 'Jenny' outfits were still so chic though, so she makes our list of memorable Gossip Girl clothes. Jenny is the younger sister of Dan Humphrey, and she idolises both Blair and Serena, her future sister-in-law.
4. Chuck Bass
Charles Bartholomew "Chuck" Bass is a main character in Gossip Girl series. Played by Ed Westwick, the character has a reputation for being a hard drinking, party boy womaniser. Chuck has an on-again/off-again relationship with Blair Waldorf and the pair marry in the series finale. Chuck doesn't appear in every episode, but he does appear in 117 of them.
Portrayed by Penn Badgley, Daniel "Dan" Randolph Humphrey is a main character in Gossip Girl. He has an on-again, off-again relationship with Serena van der Woodsen and together have the longest running relationship on the show. They marry in the series finale and it turns out to be Dan who is the anonymous blogger known as Gossip Girl.
Chace Crawford portrayed Nathaniel Fitzwilliam "Nate" Archibald in the Gossip Girl series. His character doesn't appear in every episode but he does appear in 115 of them. Nate is best friends with Chuck Bass and is good friends with Dan Humphrey, Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf.

7. Sage Spence's Boots
Episode: Season 6 Episode 10
Pictured: The Steven Studded Knee Boot
Why We Love It: Sage Spence may not have been one the major characters, but that doesn't mean we can't constructed our Gossip Girl inspired wardrobes around her look. Knee high boots are always in style, so what's a girl to do but get a pair in both black and brown.
6. Jenny Humphrey's Winter Style
Episode: Season 1 Episode 14
Pictured: Red Valentino Bamboo Coat
Why We Love It: As far as winter outfits go, it's hard to pass up a stylish coat. If you've a bit of grub, Jenny's pristine white number probably isn't a wise choice for you. Come to think of it, she was running around the Upper East Side with this on, how the hell did she keep it so clean? If you're willing to pay the dry cleaner rates, this white coat could be a beautiful addition to your wardrobe.
5. Blair Waldorf Work Wear
Episode: Season 2 Episode 2
Pictured: MARC BY MARC JACOBS Alessandra Pussy Bow Dress.
Why We Love It: Of all her many outfits, Blair's Alessandro Pussy Bow dress became one of the most highly coveted. This dress has office professional written all over it, but its bright colours make such a change from the usual drab palette of blacks and greys that inhabit the work wear section.
4. Serena's Chic Blazer
Episode: Season 2 Episode 6
Pictured: Ralph Lauren Spring 2008 RTW Blazer
Why We Love It: Some blazers can low-key remind us of the school outfits we had to wear on Awards Day, but not this one! Ralph Lauren is one of those clothing brands that is instantly recognisable, and Serena's blazer in S2EP06 is no exception.
3. Blair's Summer Fashion
Episode: Season 2 Episode 1
Pictured: Salvatore Ferragamo Swimsuit.
Why We Love It: The one-piece is back in baby! This vibrant swimsuit is perfect for taking a dip or lounging around poolside with a cocktail in hand.
2. Hanging Off Blair's Coat Tails
Episode: Season 6 Episode 9
Pictured: Carven Double Breasted Coat
Why We Love It: Who could resist a coat that features such a dramatic pop of colour? We couldn't, and that's why it's made the list.
1. Partying, Serena Style
Episode: Season 6 Episode 3
Pictured: Christian Dior Spring 2011 RTW Chiffon Dress
Why We Love It: Even Nicole Richie has been searching where to buy Gossip Girl outfits from - she's seen here wearing the same Christian Dior dress as Serena. This is a divisive ensemble and that's why we've placed it here at No.1, despite the fact that Christian Dior isn't a clothing line famous for their affordable prices. Much like all Gossip Girl fashion, you'll look at this and either think "I have to have that!" or "Who let you walk out of the store with that?"
