Penning a heartbreaking open letter on Friday, the 29-year-old revealed that she may have never agreed to star on the show if she knew how little time her mum had left to live.
'Maybe if I’d realised just how little time we’d have left with you, I wouldn’t have gone away for three months to film The Bachelorette,' she wrote in the letter published by Mamamia.
However, she also realized she wouldn’t have met boyfriend Lee Elliott had it not been for the show, stating: ‘And God knows I’ve needed him in this year that’s followed.’
'Maybe I wouldn’t have let the show’s publicity schedule cut short what would be our last family holiday together, just six weeks before you passed away?'
Belinda, aged 60, died just six months after telling Georgia of the shock diagnosis.
However, the Channel Ten star ultimately reflected things had turned out 'just how they were meant to,’ stating that her life led her to become The Bachelorette at the right moment to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
