Melbourne-born Georgia had quit her job as a newsreader for WIN Hobart earlier this year after being approached by Ten producers for The Bachelorette role.
The 28-year old had made it clear during her time on the show that she intended to move home to be with her family after filming was set to end. The Bachelorette winner and new beau, Lee Elliot, is also a Melbourne native.
The news also follows Channel 10’s announcement earlier in the month that Georgia was joining Studio 10 as co-host of the network’s morning program.
