According to The Daily Telegraph, everyone's favourite Nanny, ahem, Fran Drescher – has made the shortlist of celebrities to join Channel Ten's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
Producers of the reality show are said to be on the search for high-profile American stars who will attract Australian TV audiences.
Despite hitting the height of her career in the 1990s sitcom The Nanny, Drescher is still a household name thanks to her role on the hilarious family show.
“Fran Drescher ticks all the boxes,” a source told the newspaper about the 60-year-old actress. “She is a bullseye, if you like.”
The network has not yet commented on speculation about who will fans are set to see on the fourth season of the show, but they aim to keep it interesting.
“Every year we try to surprise and delight our audience with an amazing cast,” Ten’s head of entertainment and factual programming Stephen Tate said.
“This year’s cast are extraordinary and come from celebrity worlds we haven’t dipped into before. And we have some very funny stuff waiting over in Africa to dip our celebrities into.”
