Working out a solution for your millions of spice jars is a common problem for many home cooks. With scores of jars stacked in your pantry or drawers, it’s often hard to find what you need when you need it.And while there are plenty of spice jar and storage options out there, many are expensive or too clunky to leave on your kitchen bench. Until now!
One Kmart fan has revealed her simple hack to solving her spice jar crisis – and it involves 75 cent candle jars. Woah!
Caitlin shared her clever idea to the awesome Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group – explaining that she scooped the candle out of the budget Kmart candles, and turned them into super cute spice jars.
Then then labelled them and put them in display in two of the store’s hugely popular $4 bamboo drawer dividers. Love it!Caitlin writes: ‘I always seem to miss out on the spice jars 😩‘So decided to make my own with the 75c candles.. I am not one for displaying such a thing (so we’re trying this out!)’The clever Kmart Mum reveals that removing the candles from the jar was ‘super easy’, explaining: ‘I scooped out as much as I could.. and just put boiling water in the jars to dissolve the rest.She adds: ‘I just made sure I gave them a really good clean after in soapy water 😊’
