Who doesn’t love a wine and cheese platter!? Kicking back after work or on the weekend, there’s no better way to relax and unwind than with a selection of your favourite cheeses and a cheeky glass of plonk.Well now a genius hack from one savvy shopper is about to take your experience to the next level – and it’s PERFECT for when you want to enjoy your wine and cheese plate on a picnic or at the beach, or another tricky location.
Sharing the idea on the always fabulous Kmart Mums Australia Facebook page, member Sally revealed how she turned Kmart’s $15 Folding Serve Tray into the ultimate entertaining table – with a little help from her handy father-in-law!
Says Sally: ‘So happy with my new wine and cheese table! $15 and my lovely father in law did his carpentry magic and he even lacquered it for me too 😍🍷’
Posting three photos of the fabulous hack, you can see that Sally has had two cuts made into the table along one side – a little more than the width of her wine glass stem- meaning she can slide her glass in. Sally’s father-in-law has also cut two holes at the end of the cuts to hold the wine glass securely.The ingenious hack means she doesn’t have to worry about knocking over her wine on the small table, especially if she’s on an unsteady surface. Amazing!
