Kmart Mums are now reupholstering FURNITURE using a $17 doona cover

Giving your furniture a new lease of life does NOT have to cost a fortune – just ask the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group!While we’ve seen them redo dining chairs using $3 tea towels and makeover barstools using serving serving platters, this is the first time we’ve seen such an epic makeover using a very unlikely product!

Kmart Mums follower Sharon has unveiled this epic armchair transformation, done using the bargain chain store’s cult Florence doona cover which retails for just $17.

And isn’t it amazing?!

Says Sharon: Thank you to the lady who posted her chair that she recovered, I’ve just finished this one for my granddaughter 😍’The very handy nanna also posted a photo of the armchair before she gave it the Kmart special treatment, and it’s a staggering transformation! Revealing how she did it, Sharon says ‘it was actually quite easy’, adding: ‘I just pulled it apart then re stapled/ screwed it back together.’
